Local Support

There are a range of local organisations that offer support for young people experiencing mental health difficulties.  Please see list below.


If you need urgent help you can contact the Single Point of Access Team (SPA).  

Call between 8:00am - 5:15pm, Monday - Thursday, and Friday between 8:00am - 5:00pm 0208 547 5008 or call the out of hours duty team (evenings and weekends).

Call 999 if you think you or another young person are in immediate danger.

You can visit your local A&E “Accident and Emergency” who have specialist doctors trained in supporting someone experiencing mental health difficulties.

GP

Your doctor can offer advice on managing your mental health, give an initial diagnosis, provide medication and refer for additional services.



CAMHS

CAMHS stands for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. CAMHS is the name for the NHS services that assess and treat young people with emotional, behavioural or mental health difficulties.  For further Info click here.

School Health Team

Sarah is our School Health Practitioner and runs a confidential health drop-in at school every Monday lunchtime.  For further info about the drop in: click here

Kooth

Available if you live and/or go to school in Kingston upon Thames.  Free, safe and anonymous online support. Live webchats with a qualified counsellor are available 12 noon–10pm on Monday to Friday and 6pm–10pm at the weekend. Kooth also has live forums, information and advice.
