If you or another young person needs urgent support here is a list of numbers and agencies you can contact.
Call 999 if you think you or another young person are in immediate danger.
You can visit your local A&E “Accident and Emergency” who have specialist doctors trained in supporting someone experiencing mental health difficulties.
24/7 Crisis Line - 0800 028 8000 - Children, Young People and families in crisis call this number BEFORE attending A&E (unless there is an emergency medical need). Call free for advice to those in a crisis. Supported by trained mental health advisors 365 days a year.
Papyrus: provide confidential support and advice to young people struggling with thoughts of suicide, and anyone worried about a young person Call: 0800 068 41 41 or Text: 07860039967 (opening hours 9am to midnight - 365 days a year)
Shout offers confidential 24/7 crisis text support for times when immediate assistance is required. Text “SHOUT” to 85258 or visit Shout Crisis Text line.
Kingston Support
The Single Point of Access Team (SPA) support young people and families living or going to school in Kingston and Richmond.
Call between 8:00am - 5:15pm, Monday - Thursday, and Friday between 8:00am - 5:00pm 0208 547 5008 or call the out of hours duty team (evenings and weekends).
Surrey Support
For free mental health crisis support, open 24 hours per day, please calll 0800 915 4644. A professional can provide advice, support and signposting to a range of community services in Surrey. The crisis line can be used by those who are already receiving mental health services, and by those who are not.
If you are a parent or carer struggling with behaviours or difficulities which could be related to a neurodevelopmental needs such as autism or ADHD please consider using the "Out of Hours Advice line", open from 5pm to 11pm, seven days a week. Please call 0300 222 5755.
Early Help Hub - aims to provide support as a problem emerges, at any point in a child's life, from the foundation years through to teenage years. For this service, please call 0300 200 1004.
Merton Support
SLP CAMHS Crisis Line - If children and young people or their families/carers are concerned about their deteriorating mental health and would benefit from crisis support, advice and counselling, or professionals need support with children and young people they are helping in crisis, they can call:
0203 228 5980, Monday to Friday 5pm-11pm and Saturday, Sunday, BHs 9am 11pm .
The CAMHS Crisis Line is staffed by CAMHS Crisis Practitioners, and the key interventions of the service are:
Immediate crisis counselling support to children and young people in significant distress, offering a supportive voice during this time
Risk assessment to ensure any advice or guidance given is appropriate and robust
To help the child or young person engage in any safety plan they have formulated with their community teams
Advice and containment to parents and carers in relation to their child or young person, including reminding them of any plans put in place by CAM HS teams
Liaison with agencies in primary care and the local authority for children and young people not known to CAMHS, as well as immediate risk and safety planning
Support and advice for health professionals regarding children and young people they have been called to attend/support outofhours.
Sutton Support
